answer text <p>During the financial year 2018-19 the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust received 445 applications for funding from the Covenant Fund. 166 of these were awarded grants and 279 were unsuccessful.</p><p>In addition, under the Armistice and Armed Forces Covenant programme, 2,773 awards were made across the United Kingdom, providing in-kind support to help communities to access silhouettes that brought to mind those who went to war and did not return.</p><p>A list of all charities that have received support through the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust is available on the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Website, published at:</p><p>https://www.covenantfund.org.uk/grants-weve-funded/</p><p>Additionally, full reports of funding by year and annual summaries are published at:</p><p>https://www.covenantfund.org.uk/our-impact/</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Ministry of Defence is committed to appropriate transparency of its finances, and we make regular reports to Parliament on our expenditure as well as being subject to regular National Audit Office studies on various aspects of our expenditure. In particular, we produce an account of the Department's actual expenditure every year in the Annual Report and Accounts, and we also publish annually a detailed report on the Equipment Plan, focusing on departmental spending on the procurement and support of military equipment. These reports set out actual expenditure at the end of the relevant financial year. We published the 2018-19 Annual Report before the summer recess and the equipment plan report is due to be published later this year.</p><p>The figures concerned are estimates and are subject to variations in expenditure that take place throughout the year as the Department undertakes its business. The definitive record of our expenditure is set out in the Annual Report and Accounts and Equipment Plan. The Annual Report for the year ending 31 March 2020 will be published in summer 2020 and the Equipment Plan 2019 is due to be published later this year. answer text <p>Testing has indicated the presence of asbestos contamination in a number of buildings at the Defence Equipment &amp; Support Ashchurch site, resulting in some building closures as a precaution. Personnel working at the site have been informed.</p><p>The programme of testing priority buildings is now complete and a number of buildings have been re-opened, allowing some operations to recommence. Testing of individual vehicles continues; this will inform the extent of cleaning required. A remediation programme has been developed to clean affected areas and initial measures have already been implemented. Contingency planning is in place to support defence activities.</p> more like this
