It is one that will give Service Personnel access to a redress system they deserve.</p><p> </p><p>Last Tuesday, I was delighted to announce that Nicola Williams is the Government’s preferred candidate for the post of Service Complaints Commissioner, and she will now go forward to a House of Commons Defence Committee pre-appointment hearing on Wednesday 26 November. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 24/11/2014 answer text <p>Between 1 October 2008 and 31 December 2012, there were 49 Coroner - confirmed suicides amongst UK Armed Forces personnel.</p><p>The most recent detailed analysis of this issue, in the National Statistics' publication Suicide and Open Verdict Deaths in the UK Regular Armed Forces 1984 - 2013 indicated a declining trend in all three services.</p><p>The Ministry of Defence is committed to providing our service personnel with the best possible quality of mental health and welfare support. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 24/11/2014 answer text <p>Decisions to euthanise any animal in military service are only taken by a veterinarian officer after all possible treatment avenues have been exhausted and where it is considered to be the most humane option for the animal.
