answer text <p>The UK owns 14 F-35B Lightning aircraft which are all currently based in the US. A further three are due for delivery through the course of 2018.</p><p>This summer 617 Squadron will stand up in the UK with nine front-line operational aircraft, and we plan to declare an Initial Operating Capability from land bases in December 2018.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The UK's current fleet of 14 F-35B Lightning aircraft has amassed a total of some 2,140 flying hours. This equates to an average of around 150 hours per aircraft; with a range of 12 flying hours to 555 flying hours depending on how long we have owned each individual aircraft.</p> more like this
