answer text <p>The Government has committed to increasing the number of police officers by an additional 20,000 over the next three years.</p><p>Up to 6,000 additional officers will be recruited in the first wave by the end of 2020/21 and will be shared among the 43 territorial police forces in England and Wales.</p><p>The allocation of officers across England and Wales is yet to be confirmed.</p> more like this
