<p>The Home Office publishes data on the number of asylum cases pending a decision
at the end of each quarter in table as_01_q (asylum, volume 1) of the quarterly <em>Immigration
Statistics</em> release.</p><p><a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/709299/asylum1-mar-2018-tables.ods"
target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/709299/asylum1-mar-2018-tables.ods</a></p><p>The
latest figures show the total number of asylum cases pending a decision at the end
of March 2018 was 24,593. Of this total, the number pending an initial decision was
22,100.</p><p>Figures for the end of June 2018 are due to be published on the 23<sup>rd</sup>
August 2018.</p>
