answer text <p>As announced in the joint report from the negotiators of the European Union and the United Kingdom Government on 8 December 2017, data for the calculation of UK payments will be drawn up from publicly available sources where possible, and audited by the European Court of Auditors – the independent body responsible for auditing the EU’s expenditure, revenue and accounts.</p><p>Further information necessary for the calculation of the UK’s share of Union obligations will be transmitted to the UK. The Union will provide the UK with the management and accounting information necessary to verify the components of the financial settlement in a timely manner. As it does today, the UK Government will closely examine all information relating to any payments to the EU.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Government has shown it is committed to reducing geographical, wealth and generational inequality. It will continue to consider such issues when making public spending allocations.</p><p> </p><p>A key priority for this government is to make sure the economy works for the whole country, not just certain parts. In the latest year, the economy grew fastest in the North West, the number of people in work grew fastest in the South West and unemployment fell fastest in Scotland. Looking ahead, the Government is developing an industrial strategy to drive productivity, create jobs, and ensure sustainable economic growth across the country.</p><p> </p><p>Our increases to the National Minimum Wage rate will benefit younger people, as will our actions to help young people get on the housing ladder. answer text <p>We are working closely with the regions and constituent parts of the UK to ensure we get the best possible deal for all parts of the UK as we leave the EU.</p><p> </p><p>There are a range of outcomes on EU exit and it would not be sensible to set out the costs, benefits and consequences of different scenarios in advance of the EU exit negotiation.
