answer text
In 2005, after receiving a report by the International Commission of Inquiry on Darfur, the United Nations Security Council referred the situation to the International Criminal Court by adopting Resolution 1593, which the UK as a permanent member of the Security Council supported in full. The International Criminal Court investigation, which opened in June 2005, has produced several cases involving charges that include genocide, as well as other mass atrocity crimes. The UK’s support for the International Criminal Court is steadfast and we continue to call on the Sudanese authorities to ensure due legal process is followed.
more like this

The UK’s condemnation of the killing of Jamal Khashoggi has been made clear to the Saudi authorities at the highest levels. 2018 was the deadliest year for journalists, with 99 killed, 348 detained and 60 taken hostage by non-state groups. answer text
The UK is working with international and EU partners to assess the current levels of migration in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and identify where the UK could provide support. The latest UN figures estimate, as of September, 16,144 refugee and migrant arrivals in 2018, of which 4000 – 4,400 remain in country. We are concerned by attempts by politicians to politicise the migration issue. Along with international partners the UK has urged, BiH politicians to work together to address the challenges posed by migration, rather than use them for political ends.
more like this

answer text
The Foreign Secretary visited Burma in September and saw for himself the destruction caused by the Burmese Army brutal clearance operations in Rakhine. We want justice to be done for crimes under international law committed in Burma. We will continue to work with our international partners to ensure this, exploring all options. We are working in the UN Security Council to ensure accountability, including by looking at the option of an ad hoc tribunal, while also pushing for accelerated progress on refugee returns. We assess that there is not currently sufficient support within the Security Council for the creation of an ad hoc tribunal.
more like this
