answer text
Israeli Immigration Policy is a matter for the Government of Israel. We are not aware of a full travel ban on the British charities War on Want and Palestine Solidarity Campaign. The Israeli Parliament passed a law on 6 March 2017 to authorise the denial of entry to foreign nationals who have publicly called for a boycott of Israel and/or settlements, or who belong to an organisation which has called for a boycott. On 7 January, the Israeli Ministry of Public Security published guidance identifying 20 non-government organisations which are particularly associated with calling for a boycott of Israel. This list included War on Want and Palestine Solidarity Campaign. Individuals strongly associated with these organisations may be denied entry to Israel, but we are not aware of a blanket travel ban. We have updated our travel advice to recommend that concerned British nationals contact the Israeli Embassy for further information.
more like this

answer text
Women continue to face discrimination in Iran, whether that is unequal access to the labour market, being forced to wear mandatory hijab in public or being prevented from attending sporting events. We urge the Iranian government to repeal discriminatory laws and enable women and girls to participate equally and contribute fully to society.
more like this

answer text
We remain deeply concerned by the increasingly grave and distressing situation in Yemen. A political solution remains the only means for bringing long-term stability to Yemen – there is no military solution to the conflict. The UK continues to play a leading role in international efforts to achieve this goal. In June 2017 the UK sponsored and coordinated a UN Security Council Presidential Statement, agreed on 15 June, which called upon the parties to the conflict to agree the modalities for a ceasefire, take steps to address the humanitarian crisis, and restart political talks. We are now working urgently with our international and regional partners to ensure that the Security Council's words are converted into action.
more like this
