answer text <p>The Liverpool Community Health Investigation was launched in June 2019 and work has begun. The <del class="ministerial">Inquiry</del> <ins class="ministerial">Investigation </ins>comprises three Stages. Stage 1 <ins class="ministerial">covers </ins><del class="ministerial">covered </del> the scale of the issues and Stage 2 <ins class="ministerial">is </ins><del class="ministerial">was</del> a clinical and structured judgement review alongside Stage 1. <ins class="ministerial">Preliminary work</ins><del class="ministerial">Work</del> on Stages 1 and 2 was completed in August 2019.</p><p> </p><p>Stage 3 will investigate individual serious patient safety incidents identified from the previous two stages to establish the nature and scale of deaths and patient harm at the Liverpool Community Health NHS Trust from 2010 to 2014.</p><p> </p><p>The Investigation has identified a number of expert advisors to assist the Chairman and details will be confirmed when the Terms of Reference <del class="ministerial">covering Stage 3</del> are published in Parliament.</p><p> </p><p> </p>

answer text <p>The positive reaction and adherence to social distancing measures from the public has meant that the <ins class="ministerial">reproduction number (R number)</ins><del class="ministerial"> rate of infection (R rate)</del> has been slowly falling. After assessment of the figures and following scientific advice, the Government will slowly start to lift some of the restrictions that have been in place since 23 March. This will be completed through a phased approach and only if the R <del class="ministerial">rate</del> stays below 1.</p><p>Additionally, to try to ensure that we work together to achieve this, the Government has increased the fines for the those who break the rules, starting at £100 but doubling with each infringement up to £3,600.</p> more like this

answer text <p><del class="ministerial">The Government has provided £5 million to fund a collaboration between Mind, Samaritans, Shout and Hospice UK that provides information, emotional support and access to a crisis text service for people working on the frontline.</del></p><p>The Department has commissioned NHS England to develop a comprehensive emotional, psychological and practical support package for National Health Service staff during and following the COVID-19 response. This currently includes: free access to well-being apps; a dedicated support helpline and text service (in partnership with the Samaritans); and a separate helpline offering bereavement support (in partnership with Hospice UK). The Department is working with partners to extend both helplines to the social care workforce and will also be introducing an app and website aimed at providing timely information for the adult social care workforce.</p> more like this

answer text <p>No formal assessment has been made of the report by NHS Health Scotland on minimum unit pricing (MUP) of alcohol. The Scottish Government is taking forward a comprehensive evaluation of the impact of introducing MUP. The Scottish legislation also includes a sunset clause and the Scottish Government are required to present a report on the impact of MUP to their Parliament five years after implementation which will be published in 2023.</p><p>There are no plans for the introduction of MUP in England. The Government will continue to monitor the progress of MUP in Scotland and will consider available evidence of its impact, including the report by NHS Scotland.</p><p><ins class="ministerial"> <p><ins class="ministerial">This is the answer for HL1750.</ins></p><p><ins class="ministerial"> </ins></p><p><ins class="ministerial">The clinically-led review of National Health Service access standards is ongoing. The NHS is currently trialling how these might work and any recommended changes will be based on clinical evidence to ensure the best outcome for patients. NHS England and NHS Improvement’s final recommendations to the Government are due by the spring.</ins></p></ins></p>
