answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/07/2019 answer text <p>The Department has not assessed the potential benefits to public health of stopping the advertising of high sugar milk and milk-replacement products on public transport.</p><p> </p><p>As committed to in the second chapter of our childhood obesity plan, published in June 2018, the Department of Health and Social Care and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport have jointly consulted on introducing further advertising restrictions for products high in fat, sugar and salt (HFSS) on TV and online. As part of this consultation we invited views on whether the scope of this consultation should be extended to other forms of media and how HFSS products should be defined. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/07/2019 answer text <p>The Government’s Loneliness Strategy ‘A connected society: A Strategy for tackling loneliness – laying the foundations for change,’ acknowledged that tackling loneliness is complex and a long-term challenge, requiring action across many fronts and working with local government, public services, the voluntary and community sector and businesses to identify opportunities to tackle loneliness and build more integrated communities.</p><p>The Government has commissioned an evidence review to support the Chief Social Worker for Adults’ commitment in the Loneliness Strategy, to improve knowledge sharing among social workers and recognition and support for people who may be experiencing loneliness.</p><p>The review summarises the evidence into key messages and recommendations for social workers, other social care practitioners and employers. NHS Digital continues to work with the Department and NHS England on the development of access and waiting times reporting for mental health care pathways. Consideration is being given as to how collection of data on ADHD can be improved on a national level, including improving consistency and comparability of any data currently collected. Since its publication, significant improvements have been made in asthma care.</p><p>Respiratory disease, including asthma, is a clinical priority within the NHS Long Term Plan, which aims to improve outcomes for patients through earlier diagnosis and increased access to treatments. The Respiratory Delivery Board will take forward respiratory proposals set out in the Plan by working with key partners.</p><p>The National Health Service is supporting the national asthma audit programme which provides data on a range of indicators to show improvements and opportunities in asthma outcomes. NHS RightCare will be publishing an asthma toolkit later this year to support local commissioners and systems in delivering quality care. A best practice tariff for asthma, which aims to reduce variation in asthma care, is also in development.</p><p>The current quality outcomes framework (QOF) indicators for asthma are in consultation and changes for the annual review indicators may include data on asthma control; exacerbations; and written personalised action plans.</p><p>As set out in the NHS Long Term Plan, pharmacies in primary care networks will undertake medicine reviews for asthma patients. This will include education on inhaler use and uptake of dry powder and smart inhalers where clinically appropriate.</p><p>Finally, the NHS Long Term Plan commits to offering stop smoking interventions to all inpatients, pregnant women and high-risk outpatient specialties by the end of 2023/24. All specialised providers are required to develop a networked model of care as the vehicle for delivering an optimal pathway and maximising patient outcomes and experience. All specialised services report against national quality metrics for severe asthma services on an annual basis. Commissioner action is initiated with individual hospitals to address significant issues.</p><p>The NHS England Specialised Commissioning team is running a severe asthma collaborative project to improve patient experience, outcomes and safety through improved access to specialist multidisciplinary teams (MDT) for assessment and review.</p><p>All patients newly diagnosed with severe asthma will receive an MDT review of their care by a specialist asthma MDT, hosted by one of the 14 designated severe asthma centres in England. Friend the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care’s announcement on 30 January that the Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) Impact Trial would be expanded to 26,000 people, NHS England has committed to fund the PrEP drug and research costs of these additional places, in line with current arrangements.</p><p>Local authority and clinic participation in the trial is on a voluntary basis. Participation costs of local authorities are met from existing resource allocations.</p><p>The 36 month PrEP Impact Trial is scheduled to continue until autumn 2020.
