answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/12/2018 answer text <p>The Government is committed to supporting services to deliver the Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) access and waiting time standards.</p><p> </p><p>The latest data indicates that the National Health Service is exceeding the waiting time target of at least 60% of patients accessing EIP services within two weeks by 2020/21. In September 2018, 76.1% of patients were accessing the services within this time frame.</p><p> </p><p>On the element of the standard on access to the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE)-concordant care, NHS England gathers and compiles data on rates of access to NICE-recommended treatments through EIP services for people experiencing first episode psychosis. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 28/06/2018 answer text <p>The Government is committed to improving access to mental health services across England and ensuring that people get access to the right treatment, at the right time and in the right place.</p><p> </p><p>Performance against Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) waiting time standards consistently exceeds the national targets. In March 2018, 98.7% of those people completing treatment waited less than 18 weeks for their treatment to start in England against a target of 95% and 89.2% of people completing treatment waited less than six weeks against a target of 75%. The recovery target, which states that at least 50% of people who complete treatment should move to recovery, was exceeded in March 2018 with a 52.5% recovery rate.</p><p> </p><p>According to the latest data for April 2018, 74.4% of patients referred to Early Intervention in Psychosis services start treatment within two weeks (exceeding our current target of 50%).</p><p> </p><p>For quarter four of 2017/18, children and young people’s eating disorder data showed that 78.9% of patients started urgent treatment within one week and 79.9% of patients started routine treatment within four weeks. That is why the Government and NHS England have committed to Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) to reach 25% (1.5 million) of people with common mental health conditions by 2020/21.</p><p> </p><p>The NHS Planning Guidance sets out clear expectations for clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) to meet the IAPT expansion targets outlined in the Five Year Forward View for Mental Health as part of annual planning and all CCGs have had to submit their expected trajectories towards those targets.</p><p> </p><p>The NHS Planning Guidance is available at the following link:</p><p> </p><p><a href="https://www.england.nhs.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/planning-guidance-18-19.pdf" target="_blank">https://www.england.nhs.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/planning-guidance-18-19.pdf</a></p><p> </p><p>Assurance of delivery is gained from regional scrutiny of CCG plans against core IAPT standards. Quarterly deep-dives with regions and the national Senior Responsible Owner are used to inform our shared view of progress and support implementation.
