answer text <p>The Government recognises that the rising cost of living has presented additional financial challenges for many people, including unpaid carers.</p><p> </p><p>The Government continues to provide financial support to unpaid carers through Carer’s Allowance, the Carer Element in Universal Credit and through other benefits.</p><p>Unpaid carers in receipt of eligible benefits may receive additional support through the new Cost of Living Payments in 2023-24. These will help more than eight million United Kingdom households on eligible means tested benefits, eight million pensioner households and six million people across the UK on eligible disability benefits.</p><p>We want unpaid carers to live healthy and fulfilling lives alongside their caring role. This is why this Government is fully committed to the 10-year vision for Adult Social Care that we re-affirmed in the Next Steps to put People at the Heart of Care (2023).</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Government has added £165 million of recurring investment to the annual maternity budget, beginning in 2021, to grow and support the maternity workforce and improve neonatal care, including in Leicester East.</p><p>Additionally, the NHS People Plan has been developed to focus on improving the retention of National Health Service staff by prioritising staff health and wellbeing. £45 million has been invested in 2022/23 to support the continuation of 40 mental health hubs across the country, the Professional Nurse Advocates (PNAs) programme, and expanding the NHS Practitioner Health service.</p><p>Mental health services around England are being expanded to include new mental health “hubs” for new, expectant or bereaved mothers. The 33 new maternal mental health services will provide psychological therapy, maternity services and reproductive health for women with mental health needs following trauma or loss related to their maternity experience. These will be available across England by March 2024.</p>

This component of the programme will be commissioned later this year.</p><p>Local stop smoking services can also provide resources to support children and adult vapers to quit, through funding from the public health grant.</p><p>We also launched a call for evidence to identify opportunities to reduce the number of under 18s accessing and using vape products. The call for evidence has now closed, and the government will be considering a range of options based on the evidence provided.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The number of hospital admissions in England for the past three years can be viewed through recently reported National Health Service data, which is available at the following link:</p><p><a href="https://digital.nhs.uk/supplementary-information/2023/hospital-admissions-for-vaping-related-disorders" target="_blank">https://digital.nhs.uk/supplementary-information/2023/hospital-admissions-for-vaping-related-disorders</a></p><p>Between 2022 and 2023, there were 40 instances of primary or secondary diagnoses for children from 0-19 years, up from 37 between 2021 and 2022.</p><p>Please note that admissions do not represent the number of patients, as a person may have more than one admission within the period, and figures from 2022 to 2023 are provisional.</p><p>Additionally, the ICD-10 code for a vaping related disorder can also be used in combination with other codes to indicate the type of condition being treated at the time.</p><p>We will continue to monitor this and other adverse drug reactions reports, including through the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency Yellow Card reporting system.</p>
