answer text <p>The Department does not routinely pay for promoted content on social media channels and the communications directorate has not directly commissioned any promoted activity on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram since June 2017.</p><p> </p><p>However, the Department has co-funded a National Health Service recruitment campaign with NHS England. answer text <p>The NHS Business Services Authority checks exemptions declared by patients on FP17PR forms against NHS Business Services Authority and the Department for Work and Pensions data. Where entitlement cannot be confirmed, the patient is sent a penalty charge notice and requested to confirm their entitlement or pay the applicable charges. If a valid exemption is found no further action is taken by the NHS Business Services Authority.</p><p> </p><p>In the financial year 2017/18, 427,238 penalty charge notices were issued to claimants who claimed free dental treatment but no exemption could be found following the checking process.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Pharmacy Access Scheme was introduced from December 2016 to maintain access to National Health Service pharmaceutical services in areas where the pharmacy’s closure would have the greatest impact on patient access. To be eligible for the scheme pharmacies had to be more than one mile away from the next nearest pharmacy and not within the top 25% of pharmacies by dispensing volume. The distance criteria were reduced to 0.8 miles for pharmacies, that applied to the NHS and were in the 20% most deprived areas, where continued access was deemed critical.</p><p> </p><p>Based on these criteria, there are no community pharmacies located in the Hampstead and Kilburn constituency that are eligible for payments under the Pharmacy Access Scheme.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Department is giving careful consideration to all the recommendations from the recent report by the All Party Parliamentary Group on eye health ‘See the light: Improving capacity in NHS eye care in England’ including the recommendation on the mandate for NHS England.</p><p> </p><p>Clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) are responsible for commissioning secondary care ophthalmic services. CCGs are also able to commission eye care services in the community which go beyond the standard National Health Service sight test, to meet local need.</p><p> </p><p>As with all services they commission, CCGs are required to assess the health needs of their local population. The CCG’s responsibility is to ensure that services it commissions meet the needs of the local population. This includes assessing changes in the level of demand.</p> more like this
