Claimants who can stand and then move more than 20 metres but no more than 50 metres are guaranteed to receive at least the standard rate of the mobility component. answer text <p>A Written Ministerial Statement was published on 1 March 2016 to announce that the effect of the Local Housing Allowance cap for those living in social sector supported housing, including those with learning disabilities, would be deferred by a year, pending the outcome of a review.</p><p> </p><p>We have done this because we understand the importance of ensuring that both those living in supported housing and those who provide this type of accommodation receive appropriate protections. This is why we are awaiting the outcome of a “Supported Accommodation” research project and subsequent policy review, to ensure support is focused on the most vulnerable and appropriate groups are safeguarded</p> more like this

answer text <p>I refer the right hon. Member to the February European Council Conclusions. The restrictions on in-work benefits will apply to each newly arriving EU worker for a period of four years from the commencement of employment, with the limitation tapered “from an initial complete exclusion but gradually increasing access to such benefits to take account of the growing connection of the work with the labour market of the host Member State”. Precise details are a matter for the implementation of the proposal, and further announcements will be made in due course.</p> more like this

answer text <p>My department is committed to supporting ex-offenders into employment as a key part of individual rehabilitation and the Government’s prison reform and rehabilitation programme.</p><p> </p><p>Information on the total number of ex-offenders helped into employment is not readily available.</p><p> </p><p>Prison-leavers who claim Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA) in advance or within 13 weeks of release are mandated onto the Government’s Work Programme. The latest available data shows that between March 2012 when mandation was introduced and the end of December 2015, 8,270 JSA prison-leavers on the Work Programme have achieved a job outcome.
