answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/03/2018 answer text <p>Community Partners and Disability Employment Advisors have been recruited to achieve the ambition set out in the Department’s paper, Improving Lives: The Future of Work, Health and Disability.</p><p>The Department is committed to recruiting around 200 Community Partners and is actively doing so. There are Community Partners in place in every Jobcentre Plus District. 116 Community Partners are currently in post and 38 others have accepted offers of employment. For all remaining posts recruitment is ongoing.</p><p> </p><p>The role of the Community Partner is to support work coaches with their experience and expertise in a full range of disabilities and health issues, including musculoskeletal conditions. Given that Districts are recruiting Community Partners with musculoskeletal expertise where they require it, the Department has no proposals to offer training to Community Partners on that subject.</p><p> </p><p>Each Jobcentre District has been asked to identify the most appropriate mix of Community Partner roles to address local circumstances. In around 10 Districts this has included musculoskeletal-specific Community Partners.</p><p> </p><p>Disability Employment Advisors (DEAs) have been recruited in every country and region of Great Britain. As at February 2018, there are 470 full time equivalent DEAs with an actual headcount above 500 when taking account of part time and dual role workers.</p><p> </p><p>The DEA role has also changed and in partnership with Community Partners and Work Psychologists they are working to improve the capability of all Work Coaches to better support claimants, including those with disabilities.</p><p> </p><p>Disability Employment Advisers have a tailored learning journey that equips them with the skills and knowledge to support work coaches and other DWP staff when they are working with customers with a wide range of health conditions. Over 5500 employers have joined the scheme to date. Disability Confident employers make specific commitments, offering a range of job opportunities, work experience, work trials, supported internships etc.</p><p> </p><p>As an example of its impact, since becoming Disability Confident, Fujitsu has significantly increased the number of people with disabilities on its graduate recruitment programme. 20% of the cohort last September had disabilities. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 26/02/2018 answer text <p>Specialist advice and employment support for people with mental health conditions is available for all.</p><p>The roll out of the Health and Work Conversation across the UK supports work coaches to continue to build engagement with claimants with disabilities and health issues, backed by comprehensive new training which builds skills of empathy and active listening. We have also recruited new disability employment advisers and community partners who are in place in every country and region of the UK.</p><p>In addition, all work coaches across the Jobcentre Plus network receive training on supporting people with health conditions and disabilities and we have developed an enhanced mental health training programme for staff, which is now available in every country and region across the UK.</p><p>We expect that a large number of the claimants that require additional support through the Work and Health Programme, which will be in place across all areas of England and Wales by March 2018, will be people with mental health conditions. Support on the programme will be personalised to the needs of each participant. Examples of the type of support available includes participants having a personal key worker with regular face to face contact, mentoring and peer support, integrated access to specialist support networks at a local level including health and wellbeing professionals.</p><p>Anyone with a mental health condition which affects the way they do their job can apply for support from the Access to Work Mental Health Support Service. This service helps people by providing telephone and online advice and support. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/02/2018 answer text <p>As announced in <em>Improving Lives: the Future of Work, Health and Disability</em>, we want to see increased reporting on mental health, wellbeing and disability employment by large employers in both the public and private sector, agreeing in principle with the recommendation in the independent review “Thriving at Work”.</p><p> </p><p>Government is working with partners to establish a framework approach for voluntary reporting on mental health and disability for large employers.
