answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 01/12/2022 answer text <p>The average time to make a licensing decision during the current financial year, where the driving licence applicant had declared a medical condition, is 97.7 working days. This figure includes new applications, notifications and renewals.</p><p>The length of time taken to deal with an application depends on the medical condition(s) involved and whether further information is required from third parties, such as NHS healthcare professionals, before a decision on whether to issue a licence can be made.</p><p>It is important to note that the majority of applicants renewing an existing licence will be able to continue driving while their application is being processed, providing they have not been told not to drive by a doctor or optician.</p> answering member constituency North West Durham answering member printed Mr Richard Holden question first answered 01/12/2022 09:16:55 answering member 4813 label Biography information for Mr Richard Holden
