answer text <p>The Government Car Service currently operates 55 diesel cars out of 89 overall in the fleet.</p><p>The Government Car Service has for some time been reviewing their use of diesel cars and has introduced low emission and ultra-low emission vehicles to their fleet as diesel cars become due for replacement.</p><p> </p><p>Just this month five diesel cars are due for disposal and they are being replaced by petrol hybrid cars.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Solent to Midlands Route Strategy will identify locations, including the A34, with specific performance pressures and opportunities for improvement, and will inform HM Government’s future decisions in the second Road Investment Strategy, covering investment in the strategic road network beyond 2020.</p><p> </p><p>Alongside this, Government supports greater use of rail for freight transport and is providing £235 million of funding during Control Period 5 (2014 – 2019) to the Strategic Freight Network Fund. This funding is being utilised to increase the capacity and capability of our rail network to support rail freight.</p><p> </p><p>Specifically in the A34 area, considerable investment is being made within Control Period 5 on the routes out of Southampton to allow longer and heavier freight trains to run. These enhancements provide the capability and capacity to transport more freight by rail, helping to take lorries off our roads.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Under existing (international) firearm and safety regulations, airlines may carry unloaded guns and a limited amount of ammunition in hold baggage where persons are holding these lawfully. In the UK, there are strict controls on how such items are notified to the air carrier, screened and placed in an aircraft hold leaving the UK and on collecting such items on entry to the UK. Passengers are prohibited from carrying firearms and ammunition in the cabin of an aircraft; and passengers and their cabin baggage are screened for such items prior to departure.</p><p> </p><p>The Foreign and Commonwealth Office US travel advice was updated on 7 January in light of the Fort Lauderdale incident to advise travellers to follow local procedures.</p><p> </p><p>We keep our aviation security measures under constant review.</p> more like this
