answer text <p>As part of our Rail Investment Strategy, the Government is investing over £700 million on infrastructure in the most congested routes in London and the South East between 2014-2019, in addition to delivering the £14.8bn Crossrail and £6.5bn Thameslink projects, which will transform east-west and north-south travel across the region.</p><br /><p>Further, our franchising programme is delivering better services. For example, bidders in the East Anglia competition will be required to deliver faster services on the Great Eastern Main Line.</p><br /> more like this
