In January we announced the investment of this extra £300 million for Network Rail to boost the operational resilience of the infrastructure on the Thameslink route. This will be spent by the end of Control Period 5. This project is being delivered by Network Rail and includes a variety of works including replacement of old tracks, points and signalling and dealing with structural repairs in tunnels.
