answer text <p>The Government wants disabled people to travel easily, confidently and at no additional cost, just like everyone else. In 2018 we consulted on Accessible Information Regulations with plans to require the provision of accessible on-board information on local bus services throughout Great Britain.</p><p>In the 2021 National Bus Strategy for England ‘Bus Back Better’, we announced, subject to final analysis, that we will introduce regulations by Summer 2022 requiring bus companies to provide audible and visual announcements onboard their services in Great Britain.</p><p>We have also pledged to provide £3.5 million of targeted funding to support smaller operators to provide audio and visible information, ensuring passengers benefit from it soon as possible.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Network Rail manages a vast estate, with an estimated six million trees, and approximately 23% woodland coverage, substantially higher than the average woodland coverage across Britain.</p><p>The Secretary of state does not plan to require Network Rail to record the number and location of every tree removed from its land.</p><p>For the Hon Member’s information, in 2019, Network Rail pledged £1m to plant new trees across England over a four-year period, with over 80,000 already planted in the first planting season and published its Biodiversity Action Plan in December 2020: <a href="https://www.networkrail.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/Network-Rail-Biodiversity-Action-Plan.pdf" target="_blank">https://www.networkrail.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/Network-Rail-Biodiversity-Action-Plan.pdf</a></p> more like this
