answer text <p>Sales data by region for military exports are published annually on GOV.UK. at:<br>https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/uk-defence-and-security-export-figures-2016/uk-defence-and-security-export-statistics-for-2016.</p><p><br>The Government also publishes Official Statistics about export licences issued and refused (on a quarterly and annual basis) of licences granted and refused for military exports on GOV.UK. These reports contain detailed information on export licences issued, refused or revoked, by destination, including the overall value, type (e.g. Military, Other) and a summary of the items covered by these licences. These can be found at: https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/strategic-export-controls-licensing-data.</p><p><br>The data, which includes export values for some licence types, currently provides details of licences up to 31 December 2017. Information about the period 1 January to 31 March 2018 will be published on 17 July 2018.</p><p><br>The Official Statistics show that over the last two years one licence was issued for four “sniper rifles” and “components for sniper rifles” for an Israeli defence manufacturer to test ammunition.</p><p><br>All export licences are issued in strict accordance with the Consolidated EU and National Arms Export Licensing Criteria.</p>

answer text <p>The UK has a strong history of protecting human rights.</p><p> </p><p>The UK was the first country to produce a National Action Plan for the implementation of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.</p><p> </p><p>The UK is also a voting member of the UN Human Rights Council. The UK was a founding member of the UN Human Rights Council and has served as a member of the Council for the majority of its 12-year lifespan.</p><p> </p><p>UK has long supported the promotion of these values globally and this will continue as we leave the EU. answer text <p>As we prepare to leave the EU, we will seek to transition all existing EU trade agreements and other EU preferential arrangements. This will ensure that the UK maintains the greatest amount of certainty, continuity and stability in our trade and investment relationships for our businesses, citizens and trading partners.</p><p>In March 2017, the UK-Israel Trade Working Group was launched, aiming to strengthen the trade and investment relationship between the two countries and ensure a smooth transition, as we leave the EU.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The UK and Israel have a strong and important trading relationship and we are firmly opposed to boycotts or sanctions. We do not recognise the Occupied Palestinian Territories, including the settlements, as part of Israel and they are not covered by the current EU-Israel Association Agreement which governs our trade with Israel.</p><p>It is up to individual businesses whether they undertake business dealings with companies operating in illegal settlements. The Government neither supports nor encourages such dealings. The FCO advises businesses on the risks of so doing.</p> more like this

But we do not recognise the Occupied Palestinian Territories, including the settlements, as part of Israel and indeed the settlements are not covered by the current EU-Israel Association Agreement which governs our trade with Israel.</p><p>A just and lasting resolution that ends the occupation and delivers peace for both Israelis and Palestinians is long overdue. The UK remains focused on achieving a two-state solution and we continue to believe that the best way to achieve this is through negotiations between the parties.</p> more like this
