We have established a series of working groups and high-level dialogues with key trade partners, to explore the best ways of progressing our trade and investment relationships. answer text <p>The whole of Government is preparing for the UK to make an orderly and successful exit from the European Union. The Department for Exiting the European Union, is doing detailed work with departments to prepare for the upcoming negotiations, by understanding the risks and opportunities of leaving the EU and coordinating planning.</p><p> </p><p>Staff within DIT’s Trade Policy Group lead on providing advice to Ministers on EU Exit and exit-related trade issues.</p><p> </p><p>Members of staff across the Department also provide advice and analysis on EU Exit issues as required.</p><p> </p><p>Given the interactions between EU exit work and the Department’s other priorities, it would not be possible to give an accurate figure.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The UK has long supported the promotion of our values globally and this will continue as we leave the EU. We do not shy away from confronting barriers to trade and investment – including issues of human rights and corruption.</p><p>The Department for International Trade is working closely with other departments in particular the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO). Ministerial Briefing for every country visited includes country profiles provided by the FCO which where appropriate, set out human rights issues.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Since July 2016 the Department for International Trade (DIT) has paid £1,723,675 on learning and development.</p><p> </p><p>DIT has a training budget of £2.1m for 2017-18; this budget covers a range of learning and development opportunities for staff.</p><p> </p><p>DIT staff attend training provided by the Trade Policy and Negotiations Faculty. The role of the Faculty is to build trade policy and negotiations capability in Departments across Her Majesty's Government.</p><p> </p><p>In addition, as part of our on-going commitment to building capability across DIT, we have developed a DIT branded Learning Hub to utilise available technology to host and deliver learning through formal, informal and social learning methods, across the global network.</p> more like this
