Over 192,000 of these have entered Turkey from the Kurdish areas around Kobane since mid-September. The majority of refugees from Kobane are women and children and the main needs expressed are for basic relief items, particularly food, shelter, water and sanitation.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The UK has already provided mattresses, non-food items and shelter for distribution to the most vulnerable families. To date, the UK has allocated £24.2 million to partners working with Syrian refugees inside Turkey.</p><p> </p> more like this
