answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 02/05/2019 answer text <p>While the UK supports camp closures in line with the Rakhine Advisory Commission recommendations, we are concerned that Government of Myanmar has not granted freedom of movement. We are monitoring the situation closely with the international community and pressing for adherence with global best practice on camp closure.</p><p> </p><p>The UK provides humanitarian aid to all displaced peoples and host communities based on need, regardless of camp closure. The UK has provided £82m of humanitarian aid since 2012 to support internally displaced people (IDP) across Myanmar. Humanitarian access is limited but we are pioneering new ways to remotely manage and monitor the impact of our programmes, while continuing to press for access. Research shows that restricting access to abortion services does not make abortions less common – it only serves to make them less safe, risking women’s and girls’ health and lives through dangerous, backstreet abortions. At least 8% of maternal deaths worldwide are caused by unsafe abortions. Millions more women and girls are left with injuries and disabilities as a result.</p><p> </p><p>The UK’s position is that safe abortion reduces recourse to unsafe abortion and thus saves lives, and that women and adolescent girls must have the right to make their own decisions about their sexual and reproductive health and well-being. UK officials have been in contact with Save the Children, who fund the hospital, about this alleged incident and have raised this matter with the Saudi-led Coalition, who have announced an investigation into this alleged incident.</p><p> </p><p>The UK is clear that there can be no military solution to this conflict. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/03/2019 answer text <p>The UK has a multi-year commitment to support United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) and we plan to continue to fund the Agency in line with that agreement. This will provide basic services such as health and education to Palestinian refugees in Gaza, the West Bank and the region.</p><p> </p><p>Last year the UK led international efforts to help ensure UNRWA’s essential services were maintained, by almost doubling our original core support of £33.5 million to £65.5 million in total, and lobbying other donors to step up, to ensure the funding burden is shared more evenly across the international community. Both the UK and UNRWA recognise the need for UNRWA to reform to ensure its sustainability, and UNRWA has undertaken significant cost-cutting measures to respond to budget cuts and growing needs. We welcome UNRWA’s efforts to broaden its donor base and are encouraging partners to provide more funding and more predictable disbursements. A long-term solution requires a just, fair, agreed and realistic settlement for Palestinian refugees. We support efforts that work towards a living income in global supply chains.</p><p> </p><p>The UK was the first country to produce a National Action Plan for the implementation of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, demonstrating a high level of commitment that will feed into any future trade policy. Between 2010 and 2018, the Department for International Development invested over £20.2m into Fairtrade.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>DFID has funded the development of Fairtrace, a technology-based supply chain mapping tool which has helped Fairtrade to broaden their commercial customer base. The tool has been used by major UK businesses such as The Co-op and Ben &amp; Jerry’s.
