The UK has supported a number of initiatives that have brought communities together and provided livelihoods and economic opportunities in the affected areas. We are encouraging the Government of Nigeria to prevent further violence and provide support to the victims of the conflict. We have seconded UK experts to UNVIM in Djibouti to increase the number of inspections of commercial vessels.</p><p> </p><p>Yemen imports 90% of its food and fuel, so it is essential that the Red Sea ports of Hodeidah and Saleef remain fully open to commercial and humanitarian imports to help the millions of people who don’t have enough to eat.
