answer text <p>The UK has a clear policy to keep all its aid untied. This is set out in the 2015 Aid Strategy. Untied aid promotes value for money through ensuring open competition for aid-funded programmes. British businesses are already extremely competitive and do not need the implicit subsidy of tied aid to win work.</p><p>Recent statistical information on UK ODA can be found in DFID's Annual Report for 2018 available on DFID’s website.</p> more like this

answer text <p>UK Official Development Assistance (ODA) data is collected and reported according to a standard international classification produced by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).</p><p> </p><p>According to this classification eleven percent of DFID’s bilateral ODA was channelled through UK or other donor country-based NGOs in 2017, the latest published year of ODA statistics.</p><p> </p><p>Data that disaggregates other delivery partners - such as private sector institutions and research institutions - into local and national are not produced in the ODA statistics.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>It is difficult to quantify the totality of DFID staff time spent to support evaluation of projects in these departments. DFID supports evaluation of project proposals through representation on formal cross-government or sectoral governance mechanisms, and through collaboration and close working of officials. DFID makes available its independent evaluation and quality assurance service and contributes to production of cross-government guidance.
