answer text <p>According to Save the Children, the level of acute and chronic malnutrition in the camps is poor. The most recent reports state that acute malnutrition was between 8.5% and 11.8% in the different camp areas, and stunting up to 52%.</p><p> </p><p>DFID is providing funding for treatment of severe acute and chronic malnutrition, as well as funding for water and sanitation work that helps to prevent malnutrition. Over 126,000 internally displaced and conflict affected people in Rakhine benefit from our support to water and sanitation and nutrition.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>DFID is one of the largest bilateral humanitarian donors in Rakhine, and has provided over £18 million since 2012.</p> more like this

answer text <p>DFID provides assessed contribution and core funding to the International Organisation for Migration (IoM) and UNHCR respectively for their work on migration issues and crises. These organisations are coordinating humanitarian responses in the region including in relation to Rohingya Muslims fleeing Burma.</p><p>At over £18 million since 2012, DFID is one of the largest bilateral humanitarian donors in Rakhine, providing over 126,000 displaced and conflict-affected people, including Rohingya, with water and sanitation as well as reducing malnutrition and gender based violence. answer text <p>Whilst there is no officially agreed number of the Rohingya population, most international agencies estimate that there is up to 500,000 Rohingya people in Bangladesh.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>DFID provides core contributions to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, which manages the official camps for Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh, as well as through other partners such as the European Commission. This support includes providing shelter, access to water and sanitation, vocational training and food supplies to malnourished refugees.</p><p> </p> more like this
