answer text
The Government has been clear that we should always put citizens first. This was reflected in the Prime Minister’s letter to the President of the European Council confirming the Government’s decision to invoke Article 50. We want to strike an early agreement about the rights of EU nationals in the UK and UK nationals in the EU and we would have been happy to do so in advance of negotiations. We will look to prioritise these issues as soon as negotiations begin.
more like this

answer text
The Government recognises the importance of our research base, which is why we have protected the science budget in real terms from its current level of £4.7 bn for the rest of the parliament. The referendum result has no immediate effect on the right of researchers to apply to or participate in EU research programmes and the future of UK access to these programmes is an important issue which we will address during our negotiation.
more like this
