answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/05/2019 answer text <p>The Rural Payments Agency (RPA) took on responsibility for Countryside Stewardship and Environmental Stewardship in October 2018, and is simplifying the administration of the schemes as far as possible under the current EU system by streamlining processes, making changes to IT systems and boosting the workforce to speed up processing.</p><p> </p><p>All eligible Countryside Stewardship 2016 and 2017 claims have received a payment apart from exceptional cases, for example, those that cannot be paid for legal reasons such as probate. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 20/05/2019 answer text <p>Our Clean Air Strategy sets out measures to reduce emissions of pollution, improving public health.</p><p>The Government has put in place a £3.5 billion plan to improve air quality and reduce harmful emissions.</p><p>The Mayor of London is responsible for air quality in London. Local authorities are best placed to target action to improve local air quality. Defra’s Air Quality Grant Programme provides funding to local authorities for projects in local communities to tackle air pollution and reduce emissions which may include action targeting schools.
