answer text <p>Overall funding levels for national park authorities are calculated based on a range of demographic and other factors relevant to delivery of the national parks’ statutory purposes and their planning function. Factors include the size of the park, the population and the number of planning cases. answer text <p>The Environmental Protection Act 1990 and the Noise Act 1996 already provide local authorities with the necessary powers to tackle problem neighbour noise. This legislation allows local authorities to serve notices to stop the noise and prevent it from happening again.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The Government has also introduced more effective anti-social behaviour powers under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. One of the powers is the Community Protection Notice which the police and local authorities can use to tackle behaviour that is having a detrimental effect on the quality of life of the community, is persistent or continuing and is unreasonable. In addition, apart from the statutory guidance, the Government has also published an information note highlighting how the new powers can be used to deal with noisy neighbours.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>Based on the evidence available, it is understood that a cannon was lifted prior to the introduction of the marine licensing system in April 2011. However, the investigation carried out by the MMO into the carrying out of licensed marine activities also obtained evidence of dusting of mobile sediments and other preparatory activities which would have required a marine licence, when there was in fact no such licence in place. As a result of this evidence, the MMO issued Odyssey Marine Exploration Inc. with an official written warning for these activities on 7 November 2014, in accordance with its published compliance and enforcement strategy.</p><p> </p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>The National Pollinator Strategy, launched in November last year, is a shared plan of action for Government, businesses and others to support the health and resilience of England’s pollinators.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>As part of the strategy, the Bees’ Needs website (<a href="http://www.beesneeds.org.uk/" target="_blank">www.beesneeds.org.uk</a>) offers guidance to businesses and individuals on the steps that they can take to support pollinators. The website includes tailored guidance for land managers on how to implement the Bees’ Needs actions on a variety of land uses, and case studies which showcase best practice by local authorities, businesses and other organisations.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Lord de Mauley has also contacted major retailers, DIY outlets and garden centres to encourage them to have pollinator-friendly plant and product displays in their shops. Their positive responses have highlighted the range of important actions that businesses can and are already taking to support bee and other insect pollinators.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
