This is why we provide full funding for adults to access a range of English and mathematics courses up to and including GCSE and equivalent qualifications. We are introducing a similar right to funding for specified Information and Communication Technology (ICT) courses.</p><p> </p><p>The Skills for Life Survey, 2011, estimated the literacy, numeracy and ICT knowledge of adults aged 16-64 in England, including estimates for regions and local authorities. ICT knowledge was assessed against four component elements, including word processing, emailing, spreadsheets and a multiple choice assessment of other ICT expertise such as internet use. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 20/09/2017 answer text <p>The Children and Social Work Act (2017) places a duty on the Secretary of State for Education to make Relationships Education mandatory in all primary schools, and Relationships and Sex Education mandatory in all secondary schools, in England.</p><p>As part of our next steps, the Department intends to conduct a thorough and wide ranging engagement on Relationships Education and Relationships and Sex Education. This will determine the content of the regulations and statutory guidance, covering subject content, school practice and quality of delivery. We will ensure the subjects are carefully designed to safeguard and support pupils whilst being deliverable for schools.</p><p>The Department is fully committed to this programme of work and will set out shortly more details about the engagement process, the timetable and the work to consider age appropriate subject content.</p><p>This will result in draft regulations and guidance on which we will consult. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 20/09/2017 answer text <p>The Government is taking the impact from the tragic Grenfell Tower fire very seriously. Building owners across the public sector estate, including schools, have been contacted to ensure any risks are managed and dealt with appropriately and promptly.</p><p>All schools must have a mandatory Fire Risk Assessment and all new schools undergo an additional check while being designed. Where sprinklers are necessary to keep staff and students safe, or where they are required under a local authority planning policy, they are fitted. There is not and has never been a national requirement for sprinklers to be fitted in all new or existing schools.</p><p>All schools have to follow strict fire safety regulations designed to ensure they are as safe as possible and well prepared in the event of a fire. They must have robust plans to follow, conduct regular fire drills, and typically have multiple exit routes.</p><p>The Government has announced an independent review of building regulations and fire safety to be led by Dame Judith Hackitt. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/09/2017 answer text <p>Teaching schools have a responsibility through their delivery of Continuing Professional and Leadership Development to develop future head teachers to help meet the most pressing national needs in primary, small rural, special, challenging urban/coastal and faith schools. This includes supporting and training teachers to meet the needs of children and young people with special educational needs and disability (SEND), including dyslexia. The Department does not prescribe approaches to be used by teaching schools but we know from monitoring data, that many Teaching School Alliances run specific dyslexia courses.</p><p>In addition, through their role in designating and brokering Specialist Leaders of Education (SLE), Teaching School Alliances are able to offer schools access to a range of SEN expertise.
