Signatories pledge to implement recruitment and retention practices that will address gender imbalances. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 19/03/2018 answer text <p>Protecting children and the vulnerable from being harmed or exploited by gambling is a core objective of the regulation of gambling in Great Britain, and a priority for the government. Under the Gambling Act 2005 it is an offence to invite a child or young person to gamble. This includes, in particular, intentionally bringing to the attention of a child or young person information about gambling with a view to encouraging them to gamble.</p><p> </p><p>Where gambling facilities are offered to British consumers using in-game items which can be converted into cash or traded for items of real-world value, then such activities must be licensed by the Gambling Commission. The Gambling Commission has a range of powers to enforce compliance, including bringing criminal action against unlicensed operators that offer gambling to children.</p><p> </p><p>The Video Standards Council Rating Board is the statutory body responsible for the age rating of video games in the UK using the Pan-European Games Information (PEGI) system.</p><p> </p><p>Pictographic content descriptors supplement the PEGI age ratings, and there is a descriptor for games that contain elements that may encourage gambling. Games with this type of content carry a PEGI 12, 16 or 18 age ratings. The VSC Rating Board is working with PEGI to assess further steps to inform consumers about purchases in games.</p><p> </p><p>The Competition and Markets Authority provides guidance and advice for parents and carers, in respect of children’s use of online games. The advice includes information on checking device settings to prevent children from making in-play purchases, as well as guidance on game descriptors. This is why we reformed planning laws in England in 2016, reformed the Electronic Communications Code in 2017 and signed an Accord with the Church of England in February 2018 to make it easier and cheaper to install digital infrastructure across the UK including rural areas.</p><p> </p><p>We also welcome Ofcom’s consultation, launched on 9 March, which outlines potential new licence obligations for rural coverage as part of the upcoming 700MHz spectrum auction. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/03/2018 answer text <p>Superfast Essex is one of the first BDUK projects to undertake a Phase 4 and has an ambition to ensure that at least 99% of premises in Essex have access to superfast broadband by the end of 2021.</p><p> </p><p>Superfast Essex’s Phase 4 is a two-part procurement with Phase 4a currently at the evaluation stage. Phase 4b of the procurement is planned for launch in the summer. Deployment plans are not yet set and will be published by Superfast Essex once Phase 4 has been contracted and mobilised. The review considered the impact of reduced lottery income and made a series of recommendations to ensure that funding is spent to support the resilience of the heritage sector, to maximise the benefits of heritage for people across the UK, and to preserve the UK’s heritage for future generations.</p><p> </p><p>HLF is treating 2018/19 as a transitional year as they prepare for their next five-year funding framework, starting in 2019. They are currently consulting on their framework and are actively encouraging people to give their views. Another £200,000 is being made available up to March 2020 through the International Showcase Fund, delivered in partnership with the PRS Foundation.</p><p> </p><p>At SXSW 2018 in Austin, 91 UK artists performed including at the British Music Embassy which was sponsored by DIT, BBC Music and UK music partners.
