<p>Testing will continue throughout Phase III of the Events research programme in
order to gain entry to events, all attendees must either provide proof of a negative
NHS Lateral Flow Device (LFD) test taken within 48 hours of entering the event; OR
proof of two vaccinations with the second vaccination being given at least 14 days
prior to entry of the event via the NHS App; OR must have natural immunity, based
upon a positive PCR test within 180 days of the event.</p><p>The Prime Minister set
out plans on Monday 5th July for the final step of the Roadmap in England, giving
businesses and the public more time to prepare. Step 4 is expected to begin on Monday
19th July if the government’s four tests for easing COVID restrictions have been met.
This will be confirmed on Monday 12th July following a review of the latest data.</p><p>
</p><p>At step 4 there will be no Covid certificate required as a condition of entry
to any venue or event, although businesses and events can make use of certification,
and the NHS app gives you a Covid pass as one way to show your Covid status.</p><p>
</p><p>The Government will maintain contingency plans for reimposing economic and
social restrictions at a local, regional or national level if evidence suggests they
are necessary to suppress or manage a dangerous variant. It is possible that certification
could provide a means of keeping events going and businesses open, if the country
is facing a difficult situation in autumn or winter. Any future implementation would
involve consultation and appropriate parliamentary scrutiny.</p><p> </p>
