answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/05/2020 answer text <p>Overall, the UK's broadband network has stood up well to mass home working and leisure usage as a result of COVID-19, including in rural areas. This is a result of the contingency planning that the Government has done with industry and also the Government's £1.7 billion superfast broadband programme, which has ensured that 96% of UK premises have access to superfast broadband.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>However, the Government recognises that rural coverage lags behind the rest of the UK, which is why we legislated to create the first-ever broadband Universal Service Obligation, which went live in March 2020. The scheme allows everyone in the UK to request a decent broadband connection of at least 10 megabits per second from a designated universal service provider, up to a reasonable cost threshold of £3,400.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>At Budget, we also committed to invest £5 billion to roll out gigabit broadband in the hardest to reach areas of the UK. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/05/2020 answer text <p>It is vital that people continue to be active during the Covid-19 outbreak to support their physical and mental health</p><p><br>On 11 May, Government published updated guidance on lockdown measures, including updates on how people can remain active. From Wednesday 13 May, people are allowed to go outside more than once a day for exercise as long as they are following social distancing guidelines, alone, with members of their household, or with one person from outside of their household. People must still only exercise in groups of no more than two people, unless they are exercising with their household.</p><p>All outdoor sports and physical activities are now permitted, without time limit, including angling, with the exception of swimming in an open-air swimming pool. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/05/2020 answer text <p>Ministers and officials are in regular contact with the voluntary sector and are establishing mechanisms to collate robust and ongoing insights into the overall health of the sector.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>We are aware that many charities continue to face a significant loss of income due to Covid-19, through reductions in fundraising, trading and investment income.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>Support measures such as the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme can assist with easing the burden placed on organisations that are unable to operate due to social distancing restrictions. Changes in use of such facilities will be made on a location by location basis as a result of discussions between the local parties, depending on local need at the time.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>In England, six NHS Nightingale hospitals have been opened of the seven being built across the country, as part of actions taken to ensure the NHS has sufficient hospital capacity to care for COVID-19 patients. This includes the Nightingale hospitals in London (London ExCel) and Birmingham (Birmingham National Exhibition Centre).</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>Surge capacity is holding up well in NHS hospitals across the country. As such, both the London ExCel and Birmingham National Exhibition Centre have now been placed on standby and will not be accepting patients. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 12/05/2020 answer text <p>The final conclusions of the Government’s Telecoms Supply Chain Review in relation to high risk vendors were announced on 28 January. High risk vendors should be excluded from those parts of the 5G and full fibre networks that are critical to security (“the core”), and their presence in the rest of the UK’s networks should be limited to 35 per cent, with further restrictions in sensitive geographic locations.</p><p> </p><p>The UK Government does not plan to reconsider this decision.
