answer text <p>The EU Network and Information Systems Directive (the ‘NIS Directive’) will help ensure Britain’s essential networks and infrastructure are safe, secure and resilient against the risk of future cyber attacks, helping to make the UK most secure place to live and do business online.</p><p> </p><p>The Government’s plans to implement the NIS Directive were set out in a public consultation published on 8 August 2017. This set out that cross-sector security guidance will be published by the National Cyber Security Centre in January 2018, sector specific guidance by Competent Authorities (Regulators) in November 2018, and that compliance will be monitored and enforced by sector based Competent Authorities. The Government is reviewing the responses to this consultation and a formal Government reply will be published shortly.</p><p> </p><p>The Government has kept the European Affairs Committees of both Houses regularly informed of progress on implementation of the EU Network and Information Systems Directive. Secondary legislation implementing the Directive will be laid before Parliament in due course.</p><p> </p>

answer text <p>Charities and voluntary organisations are receiving funding from Government through a number of programmes. This includes unlocking £360m for good causes from dormant bank accounts. Other examples include investing £32m so far in disadvantaged women and girls via the Tampon Tax Fund and £40m in youth organisations through the Youth Investment and #iwill Funds.</p><p> </p><p>Government is also taking steps to open up new opportunities for charities and voluntary organisations' to play a role in public services. Efforts include recruiting a Crown Representative for the sector and ongoing Commissioning Academy programmes.</p> more like this

answer text <p>VisitBritain and VisitEngland work with Destination Management Organisations to promote tourism across the UK. Government also provide funding for individual projects to improve their visitor offer, in particular through the Discover England Fund and the Coastal Communities Fund. Portsmouth has recently received £1.75m of Coastal Communities Funding to revitalise its Victorian Arches in the Heart Battery and £50,000 of Coastal Revival Funding for the repair and refurbishment of the South Parade Pier. Portsmouth Council also received £10,000 to set up a Coastal Communities Team to develop an economic plan for the area.</p><p> </p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>The Scout Association received £1,288,573 in FY 13/14 as part of the Department for Communities and Local Government-funded Youth United Foundation Social Inclusion Programme. This Programme was designed to increase young people’s access to voluntary youth activities in a number of targeted areas of deprivation across England.</p><p> </p><p>In 2014, the Cabinet Office launched the £10 million Uniformed Youth Social Action Fund designed to create new uniformed youth group units. The grant was distributed by Youth United Foundation and included two funding rounds in FY 14/15 and FY 15/16. answer text <p>Information about Government funding for NCS is available in the published accounts for Cabinet Office (2010/11 - 2015/16) and DCMS (2016/17), copies of which are available in the Libraries of the House. Government allocates NCS Trust an annual budget, based on projected participation rates, within the Spending Review financial settlement for that year. Each year NCS Trust is funded to deliver an agreed number of NCS participants, to deliver positive impacts for participants and to improve the overall value for money of the programme.</p> more like this
