answer text <p>The UK has made it a criminal offence to deal dishonestly in tainted cultural property and issued guidelines to help UK dealers and auction houses consider the relevant issues such as ensuring good provenance of cultural objects in which they deal.</p><p> </p><p>However, the Government believes that regulating trade in art and antiquities is primarily the responsibility of the art and antiquities trade itself. The established trade associations possess codes of ethics by which they expect their members to abide and we expect the associations to enforce those codes strictly.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Government funds a small group of museums with Grant in Aid and there are no plans to extend the number of these at this time.</p><p> </p><p>A range of factors determine what constitutes a ‘national museum’, and one of the central criteria is the significance of the museum’s collection.</p><p> </p><p>In the case of the National Children’s Museum Government understands and supports the principle of family friendly interactive spaces. Government’s view is that this institution’s collection is not of a standard or scale comparable to National Museums such as the British Museum. It would not, therefore, fall within the criteria for receiving support from central Government or Arts Council England, which is responsible for regional museums.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Government has committed £26.68 million to the Suffolk broadband project. The current contracted coverage is to provide superfast broadband access to 117,493 homes and businesses in the county, extending coverage to nearly 91% of premises. Procurement is still under way for part of the funding and coverage will be extended further once contracts are agreed. As 30 June 2015, the Suffolk project had covered 84,447 superfast premises.</p><p><br>Over £81 million of government funding has been committed to improving superfast broadband coverage in the East of England (including Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes). This will support delivery of superfast broadband to 642,160 homes and businesses in the region that would otherwise not have gained coverage.</p> more like this
