<p>The Department employs staff with expertise in a range of technical building issues, including with expertise related to aspects of external wall insulation and cladding systems, and with specific fire safety expertise.</p><p>The independent expert panel will provide advice to the government on any immediate measures needed to make buildings safe following the Grenfell Tower fire.</p>
