Beyond the Home Building Fund investment, there is no other public sector funding going in to the construction of the properties. The borrower is an experienced operator in the private rented sector, and their track record, along with the proposed marketing and rental strategy was assessed by the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) as part of the due diligence process. The HCA is satisfied that the rents assumed by the borrower are at a reasonable market level for locations of strong demand for privately rented homes.
