answer text <p>Professional and Career Development Loans are open to UK citizens who seek financial support for a wide range of tertiary education provision.</p><p> </p><p>In recent years, nearly 7/10 of the typical 7000-8000 loans per year have been taken out by those participating in postgraduate study. Nearly 90% of loans are taken out by residents of England.</p><p> </p><p>It has not been possible to split applied art and design from art and design. Categorisation is a result of the government’s interpretation of the course title. answer text <p>The new master’s loan for postgraduate study of up to £10,000 will be available to eligible students studying on master’s courses from Academic Year 2016/17, including eligible master’s courses that last two years. This loan has been designed to provide a contribution to costs for students and the £10,000 maximum will apply to all eligible courses regardless of course length.</p><p>We have no current plans to offer larger loans for students on longer courses.</p><p>Other sources of finance for students include:</p><ul><li>Professional Career Development Loans of between £300 and £10,000 are bank loans and are available to eligible students for postgraduate study. We are working with large and small businesses to find ways to encourage employers, colleges and schools to work together to increase the number of apprenticeships.</p><br /><p>Over 1300 employers are currently involved in designing new apprenticeship standards including in Design-related occupations such as Product Design &amp; Development Engineer; Product Design &amp; Development Technician; Visual Effects Designer and Software Developer - with more in development.</p>
