answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 30/10/2015 answer text <p>There are already seasonal limitations on the sale of fireworks. The Fireworks Regulations 2004 restrict their sale to the traditional fireworks periods of 5<sup>th</sup> November, Diwali, New Year’s Eve and the Chinese New Year. It is possible to buy fireworks at other times of the year, but strict conditions are imposed on retailers wishing to sell them outside the traditional periods.</p><p>There are no geographical restrictions on the sale of fireworks, and currently no plans to introduce them, although further restrictions on their sale exist in Northern Ireland where a licence is required for home displays.</p><p>The Fireworks Regulations 2004 contain provisions to minimise the risk of fireworks harming people, property and animals, and Government-sponsored advice and guidance on the safe and considerate use of fireworks is freely available on the Safer Fireworks website.</p> answering member constituency Broxtowe answering member printed Anna Soubry question first answered 30/10/2015 11:45:43 answering member 3938 label Biography information for Anna Soubry

Members to receive a letter informing them when a review is being launched in any part of their constituency, which will also invite them to give their views.</p><p>Area reviews of post-16 education and training institutions are predominantly focused on general further education and sixth form colleges in order to ensure there is a high quality and financially resilient set of colleges in each area of England. Schools with sixth forms can opt in to a review if they wish to and the review’s local steering group agrees.</p><p>Each review will conduct a comprehensive analysis of the current post-16 provision in the area which will include the offer made by schools with sixth forms. Regional Schools Commissioners will sit on local area review steering groups and will identify any issues with school sixth form provision, particularly academy and free school sixth forms and University Technical Colleges, and feed these into the reviews. We expect Regional Schools Commissioners to take account of the analysis from area reviews in any decisions they make about future provision.</p><p>The area reviews are aimed at delivering a skills system that meets the economic and educational needs of areas whilst also ensuring the long term sustainability of colleges to support productivity. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 29/10/2015 answer text <p>The report is being assessed by the European Commission’s Directorate General for GROWTH, and the US regulator <em>National Highway Traffic Safety Administration</em><em> (NHTSA).</em></p><br /><p>The report will help inform negotiations, but is the first side-by-side comparison of predicted risk for EU-regulated and US-regulated vehicles. It recommends further work to replicate results, identify patterns, and establish links between results, design and regulatory differences.</p><br /><p>The European Commission has commissioned its own research into vehicle safety and has published the findings so far on its website. We therefore do not collect information about the numbers of English or mathematics teachers employed by FE institutions.</p><br /><p>This Department has ongoing discussions with FE stakeholder organisations about the importance of increasing the number of teachers of mathematics in the sector, as set out in our <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/further-education-workforce-strategy" target="_blank">FE Workforce Strategy</a> published in 2014. The government, through its support of bursaries and other workforce programmes, provided 199 bursaries to individuals to become maths teachers in the Further Education sector in 2013/14 and 2014/15, and also supported 2450 existing teachers to take maths enhancement programmes.</p><br /><p>Area Reviews of Post-16 education and training are aimed at delivering a skills system that meets the economic and educational needs of areas. All reviews will include consideration of the need for sufficient, high quality maths and English teaching.
