answer text <p /> <p>The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, through the Medical Research Council (MRC) and Innovate UK, has not provided any funding over the last five years into research on the causes, effects and treatment of Stevens-Johnson Syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis.</p><p>The MRC is one of the main agencies through which the Government supports medical and clinical research. It is an independent research funding body that receives its grant in aid from the Department. The MRC always welcomes high quality applications for support into any aspect of human health and these are judged in open competition with other demands on funding. Awards are made according to their scientific quality and importance to human health.</p> more like this
