This year increases in the minimum wage gave over two million of the lowest paid workers a pay rise of over 2 per cent in real terms. Over the year, full time workers aged 25 and over on the NLW will see their earnings grow by more than £600.</p><p> </p><p>The Low Pay Commission (LPC) draw upon a wide range of independent research and stakeholder consultation in monitoring the impact of the NLW. The Government recently announced an expert panel to look at competition in the digital economy. In the event of a “no deal” exit from the EU, and without specific action on the part of the Government, the Geo-Blocking Regulation would continue to exist on the UK statute book as “retained EU law”. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/09/2018 answer text <p>The Domestic Gas &amp; Electricity (Tariff Cap) Act places a duty on Ofgem to set a temporary price cap on standard variable and default tariffs.</p><p> </p><p>On 6th September 2018, Ofgem published a statutory consultation, in which they propose a methodology for setting the cap level which takes account of supplier costs including for the wholesale cost of energy.
