answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 17/06/2019 answer text <p>Responsibility and funding to provide consumer advice, education and advocacy was devolved to the Scottish Government under the Scotland Act 2016. The Scottish Government fund Citizens Advice Scotland (CAS) and Advice Direct Scotland (ADS) to deliver. BEIS remains responsible for funding the delivery of national and cross-border enforcement in Scotland through Trading Standards Scotland (TSS).</p><p> </p><p>CAS and TSS are currently working together to deliver the annual Scams Awareness campaign in Scotland which runs from 10<sup>th</sup> to 23<sup>rd</sup> June to raise awareness, educate consumers and encourage the reporting of scams. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 17/06/2019 answer text <p>We welcome the Annual Fuel Poverty Statistics Report for England, published on Thursday 13 June 2019, which showed that 18,000 fewer households were in fuel poverty in 2017 compared to 2016. We also saw a 4% year-on-year decrease in the average fuel poverty gap between fuel poor and other households.</p><p> </p><p>These statistics show that our policies are working. Continued delivery of energy efficiency measures, the introduction of the National Living Wage in 2016 and the prepayment meter price cap introduced in April 2017 will all have made a contribution. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/06/2019 answer text <p>We received representations from a number of organisations, including a letter from over 120 businesses, to adopt the Committee on Climate Change’s recommendations on net zero. I am pleased to confirm that on 12 June, the Government laid draft legislation to set a new net zero greenhouse gas emissions target for the UK, to be delivered by 2050. This world-leading target will bring to an end our contribution to climate change.</p><p> </p><p>Delivering a net zero target must be a joint endeavour, crossing political boundaries, and encompassing all parts of society. We have already seen many businesses set their own ambitious targets and intentions to be net zero.</p><p> </p><p>As part of Green GB and NI Week 2018, more than 60 businesses made significant pledges worth millions to cut emissions while continuing to grow the green economy. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/06/2019 answer text <p>The Government has made significant progress in delivering our Industrial Strategy commitments. Through the Industrial Strategy, the Government has committed to increasing overall investment in R&amp;D to 2.4% of GDP by 2027 and 3% in the longer term.</p><p>In order to reach the 2.4% R&amp;D target, we need to continue to attract, retain and develop research talent. This is why the government is investing in talent programmes delivered by the National Academies and UK Research and Innovation (UKRI).</p><p>The Government has increased its investments in PhDs to support the delivery of this target and the Industrial Strategy Grand Challenges including:</p><ul><li>In 2017, we announced funding of £300m over four years to increase the number of PhDs and fellowship programmes which will develop research talent and attract the brightest minds to the UK.</li><li>In April 2018, we announced a sector deal between government and industry that will put the UK at the forefront of the AI industry.
