answer text <p>The Domestic Gas and Electricity (Tariff Cap) Act states that Ofgem, the independent regulator, must update the level of the cap at least every 6 months. Ofgem have scheduled 6 monthly revisions each April and October. Ofgem is responsible for adjusting the cap level to reflect changes to the estimated costs of supplying electricity and gas to homes for the following 6 months.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Feed-in Tariffs scheme will close to new applicants, subject to certain time limited grace periods and extensions, on 31 March 2019.</p><p> </p><p>On 8 January, Government published a consultation on the future for small-scale low-carbon generation, providing visibility of the proposals for a Smart Export Guarantee.</p><p> </p><p>This consultation will close on 5 March; responses will be analysed to inform future policy development, and government will respond in due course.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>We received 345 responses to the consultation on the proposed closure of the Feed-in Tariffs scheme held last year. Of these, 169 were from members of the public and 43 were from civil society groups.</p><p> </p><p>Since the Government response was published on 18 December 2018, confirming closure of the scheme, we have received further representations on the issue from over 60 members of the public via their MP (46 in response to a civil society group campaign) and three civil society groups.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The amount of budget committed to each wind band can be calculated using publicly available data.</p><p> </p><p>Total capacity deployed for each technology over the period 2016 – 2018 is published under the Feed-in Tariff Deployment Caps Monthly Reports.</p><p> </p><p>Total generation can be calculated by applying the load factors (published in the impact assessment that accompanied the 2015 Feed-in Tariffs review) to the total capacity.</p><p> </p><p>In order to calculate the value of the generation tariff payments made to each band, the total amount of generation per quarter is multiplied by the corresponding tariff rates available on Ofgem’s website.</p><p> </p> more like this
