answer text <p>Incubators and accelerators play a crucial role in helping entrepreneurs start and grow their business. In 2019, BEIS published a research paper on the Impact of Business Incubators and Accelerators in the UK, available here:</p><p><a href="https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/839755/The_impact_of_business_accelerators_and_incubators_in_the_UK.pdf" target="_blank">https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/839755/The_impact_of_business_accelerators_and_incubators_in_the_UK.pdf</a>.</p><p> </p><p>The UK Innovation Strategy, published in July 2021, sets out the Government’s vision to make the UK a global hub for innovation by 2035. In order to support delivery on the four pillars of the Strategy, BEIS is increasing funding for core Innovate UK programmes by 66% to £1.1 billion in 2024-2025. This will further help connect UK companies to the capital, skills and connections needed to innovate and grow.</p>

answer text <p>As set out in the Government’s Net Zero Strategy, meeting Net Zero requires the buildings sector to be decarbonised by 2050. This means improving the energy performance of homes and gradually phasing out fossil fuel heating. The Government has therefore committed £6.6 billion through schemes such as the Home Upgrade Grant, Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund and Boiler Upgrade Scheme.</p><p>The Government will continue to look at ways to make UK homes more comfortable and cheaper to run.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Government is taking targeted steps to assist Ukrainian refugees to pursue employment in their professions in the UK, while maintaining the principle, supported by the Professional Qualifications Act 2022, that regulators have the autonomy to set standards for their professions and assess who meets these standards.</p><p> </p><p>It will ultimately be for Ukrainian refugees to determine whether and when they wish to look for work in the United Kingdom, along with the type of work they wish to pursue. For those who wish to find work requiring professional qualifications, one targeted step which will be taken is to identify and seek to mitigate entry barriers faced by those arriving from Ukraine. The UK European Network for Information (ENIC) service manages qualification passporting and provides advice on the comparability of international qualifications at all levels of education with those of the UK on behalf of Government. The service maintains an extensive database of international qualifications and education systems, including for Ukraine, and are fully prepared to deal with Ukrainian and other refugees’ qualifications.</p>
