answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/12/2022 answer text <p>The Government is committed to supporting all households, especially low income and vulnerable households.</p><p> </p><p>This winter, the Government is providing direct support to millions of households through the Energy Price Guarantee and the Energy Bills Support Scheme.</p><p> </p><p>This is in addition to targeted support through the cost of living support packages, announced in May (2022-23) and November (2023-24). answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 07/11/2022 answer text <p>Information about customer accounts is held by suppliers, however, Ofgem’s licence conditions include an Ability to Pay Principle, which obligates suppliers to provide appropriate support for those struggling to pay their bills by setting up appropriate repayment plans based on a customer’s ability to pay, and by directing the customer to further support services.</p><p> </p><p>The Government’s Energy Price Guarantee will save a typical British household around £700 this winter. No assessment of recent trends has been made.</p><p> </p><p>In September, the Government announced the Energy Price Guarantee which will save a typical household at least £1,000 a year.
