answer text <p>The UK is a world leader in cutting emissions while growing the economy, and has set an ambitious net zero target which will require transformation across the economy.</p><p>Tackling climate change is a priority for the whole of government, which is why the Prime Minister has set up the Cabinet Committee on Climate Change. This committee will hold departments to account for their actions to combat climate change and oversee the UK’s preparations to host the COP26 summit.</p><p>The Government is leading from the front, and delivering on the Greening Government Commitments. Cabinet Office monitors and reports performance against these Commitments through the annual publication of the <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/state-of-the-estate-in-2017-2018" target="_blank">State of the Estate Report</a>. The Report describes the size and cost, efficiency of use and sustainability of property for central government buildings.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The government plans to build on the successful reforms of the Civil Service since 2010, going further and faster to ensure that it has the right skills. In particular this means attracting more people with quantitative and data analytics skills - which are developed through training in science and engineering.</p><p>Demand for science and engineering graduates is increasing - with Fast Stream bids for this specialism having doubled this year.</p><p>Those with science-related degrees make up an increasing proportion of those entering the Fast Stream. Candidates with science-related degrees (where known) made up 19.7% of entrants in 2018 compared with 17.4% in 2017.</p><p> </p> more like this
