answer text <p>As with all outsourcing arrangements, security and information assurance measures are being implemented in line with the Government’s Information Assurance Standards, Good Practice Guides, Government Security Policy Framework and Data Protection Act. These Government security requirements were introduced under the previous Government and applied to outsourcing then. All shared services data will be handled, processed and transmitted in accordance with these security requirements, taking into consideration clients’ security policies.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>The central cost of holding Cabinet in Aberdeen was £1,800. This is a considerable reduction on regional Cabinet meetings under the previous administration, which cost between £50,000 and £100,000. Departments and agencies will also have incurred costs in terms of travel, staff time and other support. The cost of any security provided by the police is a matter for the relevant police force.</p><p>Holding Cabinet meetings in different parts of the UK allows Ministers to hear at first hand the views of people in different areas, and Ministers visited various locations in the region following the meeting.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>Since 2010 the number of Cabinet Office buildings has reduced from 14 to 6 with an annual saving of around £10m. Further reductions are planned until 2016, to a total of 3 occupied properties, with a further £2m annual saving.</p><p>The State of the Estate Report (SofTE) provides annual progress updates on our work improving the efficiency of the Government’s Civil Estate.
