<p>The Ministerial Code is the responsibility of the Prime Minister of the day, as
befits his or her constitutional position as the Sovereign’s principal adviser, and
is customarily updated and issued upon their assuming or returning to office.</p><p>
</p><p>Section 1.6 of the Ministerial Code sets out that Ministers are personally
responsible for deciding how to act and conduct themselves in the light of the Code,
and for justifying their actions and conduct to Parliament and the public.</p><p>
</p><p>With reference to the fixed penalty notice, I would refer you to the Prime
Minister’s statement to the House of 19 April 2022.</p><p> </p>
