answer text <p>As part of our incoming COP Presidency, we are urging all countries to come forward with ambitious new Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) which represent their highest possible ambition. The UK will play a key part and come forward with an enhanced NDC well ahead of COP26.</p><p>The UK continues to lead international efforts on cost-effective emissions reduction in the international aviation and shipping sectors, working through the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).  Emissions from domestic flights and shipping are already covered by our domestic legislation and the CCC account for international flights and shipping in their advice on setting our carbon budgets.</p> more like this
